​​​​I produced this multimedia piece for the NPR seri​es State of the Re:Union. Dear Vermont is a love letter to the state written and performed by writer, musician, and Vermonter Robin MacArthur.  Robin's letter is combined with my images and a musical score by Robin and her husband Tyler Gibbon's band Red Heart The Ticker. This video was presented at a State of the Re:Union live event, and is featured on their website along with their hour long radio episode about Vermont.

 

Benuel Esch grew up Amish but twenty years ago he started asking questions. These questions propelled him to leave the Amish and explore other radical Christian communities. Many years later, he finds himself back in an Amish community, grappling with what he's found and navigating his future.
